So versatile...

Since starting this blog it has taken on many personalities. It's latest venture is food blogging. Yes, you heard me correctly. Why not combine the love I have for two different things? Food and talking about it to anyone who will listen?

I've recently started following two different food blogs. Southern Plate and The Pioneer Woman. Both offer up foods that I'll eat. In case you didn't know, I'm a picky eater.

In the past few weeks I've begun to feel very reminiscent of the olden days. When on Sunday's you had lunch at your grandma's house and the whole family gathered 'round.

Well, things are a changing in the Donaldson house. Yes siree! We are having Sunday suppers again! I may be cooking for three or thirteen. I have no idea. All I know is that I want to instill that sense of family with my own child(ren). I want, years from now, Hayden to know that on Sunday, you have lunch at mama's house. Tradition and family. That's what I'm shooting for here. And with that frame of mind, I needed reciepes. There is only so much I can cook. So I look to you, Southern Plate and The Pioneer Woman to guide me on the journey to bringing family to my rarely used dining room table, and to bring out my good china that only sees the light of day once a year.

With this new revamped blog, I'll be documenting my Sunday Suppers. Which recipe I use, how I do it, who stopped by for lunch...you get the idea.

You never know. Read and let me know what you think and I might invite you over one day.

Until Sunday...
Holly

  1. I love Pioneer Woman! I use one of her recipes at least once a week around our house. Her cookbook is great and I love getting her emails and seeing what deliciousness she has cooked up! Enjoy your cooking!!!
